No Bloggiesta is complete without a to-do list, as I’m sure you all know.

What I plan on accomplishing Bloggiesta weekend:

-Cross post reviews onto Goodreads
-Update review archive
-Complete some mini challenges
-Take part in one or two of the twitter chats
-Plan April and May’s blog posts
-Write and schedule Top Ten Tuesday posts for April
-Write and schedule Waiting on Wednesday posts for April and May

-Sort out all the wonky images on the blog

No doubt I’ll keep adding to this list throughout the week, but this is just what I’m starting with.

Bloggiesta-MiniW14

Another Mini Bloggiesta has been and gone! But, I did manage to get quite a bit accomplished which I’m quite chuffed about.

What I did:

-Write and schedule all of February’s Waiting on Wednesday Posts
-Plan out my February Blogging Schedule
-Drafted February’s Top Ten Tuesday Posts
-Cross post my reviews everywhere
-Write and schedule a few posts
-Sorted out some technical problems
-Updated my reading challenges page
-Changed my About Me picture

So, all in all, not too bad for a day’s work, right? How did you do?

Mini Bloggiesta Sign Up

Bloggiesta-MiniW14

Oh yes, it’s almost time for another Bloggiesta! *squeals* I absolutely love taking part in this event, it always seems to boost my productivity levels to almost sky-high amounts. As it’s a mini Bloggiesta, it’s only held during Saturday January 25th and Sunday January 26th, but that’s more than enough time for me to get productive and cross a ton of things off my to-do list.

Speaking of that to-do list, I’d better share it with you really. It looks a little long, but the majority of these tasks are pretty small and easy to do, I just haven’t gotten round to doing them yet! (I’m not surprised. I’m terrible with my maintenance on the blog.)

-Cross post my reviews everywhere.
-Update my Reading Challenges page.
-Write and Schedule February and March’s Waiting on Wednesday posts.
-Write and Schedule February’s Top Ten Tuesday posts.
-Write and Schedule next week’s posts.
-Compile some Perfect Playlist posts.
-Plan my February Blogging Schedule.
-Revisit some of the past Bloggiesta mini-challenges, and take part in the new ones too!

Bout of Books 9.0 Goals + Updates

January 1, 2014

Bout of Books
As Bout of Books 9.0 starts on Monday, I thought I’d better get my goals planned and written for this time round!
MBaT BoB 9 books
Reading wise, I’m aiming on tackling these three books during the week. I seem to get stuck on three books, so I’m going on three and any extras I happen to get to will be a bonus.
I also aim on taking part in two of the Twitter chats, as they’re always fun.
I’d like to say I’ll do a challenge a day but I’m not entirely sure that’ll happen, so I’ll just aim on taking part in as many as I possibly can.
And, as always, I plan on meeting lots of lovely new bloggers and discovering plenty of new blogs too!
Updates
Monday 6th
Pages Read: 432
Books Read: Easy (completed), Play With Me (completed)
Thoughts: Whoops, two off-pile reads. Still, I’m not surprised, I never stick to my plans. But I am chuffed with 432 pages.

Dreamy December Days Challenges

December 1, 2013

ddd-banner

I’m going to be keeping all of the challenges on this one post, so I can keep track of what I’m posting and where.

Day One: Bookish Christmas Wishes
What are the bookish merchandise/books you’d love to receive this year?

I have plenty of books on my Christmas wish list (as always!), and some of them are:

the diviners by libba braythe duke and i by julia quinnonyx by jennifer l armentroutunbreak my heart by melissa c walker

And, if this wasn’t so ridiculously expensive, I’d have to ask for this as well:harry potter page to screen collectors

Day Two: Dreamy Destinations
What are the places you dream of seeing/visiting?

This is actually quite a difficult question, as I have so many different places I’d love to go! New York is definitely a dream place for me – I’d love to visit during the Christmas period and do all the typical touristy things in the snow. Paris would be amazing to visit too, and after reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins and seeing the city through Anna’s eyes, it’s just made me want to go even more.

Dreamy December Days Goals and Updates

It’s the beginning of December! That means it’s time for the Dreamy December Days read-a-thon to start.

For my goals in this read-a-thon, I’m keeping things quite simple, as I’m not entirely sure how much time I’m going to have to read.

I’m going to aim on reading three books this week, from the following options:

code name verity by elizabeth weineasy by tammara webberlosing it by cora carmackrule by jay crownover

amelia grey's fireside dream by abby clementsthe dream thieves by maggie stiefvater

I’ll be updating this post throughout the read-a-thon with my progress of each day:

1st December

Pages Read: 61
Books Read: Girl of Nightmares by Kendare Blake (finished.) Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein.
Total Pages: 61

I got off to a bit of a slow start, but at least I’ve actually read something, which is a great start! I plan on picking up Code Name Verity again and working my way through another chunk of it, I’m really enjoying it so far and it’s a struggle to put it down when I have to!

Bloggiesta Finishing Line

September 22, 2013

bloggiestalogo

Whew! Bloggiesta is over and although I didn’t have a ton of free time to dedicate to it, I’m happy with what I accomplished. I kept my original Bloggiesta goal post very short, and I must of done something right as I was able to tick off everything that I set out to do, plus do a little more! (The bolded items are things that weren’t on my original list.)

What I Got Done:

-Cross posted reviews to Goodreads.
-Cross posted reviews to Pinterest.
-Updated my review archive.
-Added button to sidebar with a grab code.
-Came up with 16+ post ideas, and managed to flesh out a couple of them too.
-Combined my blog email addresses together.
-Signed up for Booklikes.
(I’m promptly ignoring this website for a few days until it runs slightly faster for me though.)
-Wrote all of next week’s posts.
-Set up templates for all the reviews I have to write.

I also took part in a few mini challenges, both old and new, so I thought I’d link those here:

-I took a look at Tanya’s Google Analytics mini challenge and found that Blogger, Twitter and WordPress were my top three social media referrals of last month.
-I checked out April’s Plugin Post and downloaded the Editorial Calender Plugin, and it is love at first sight!
-I discovered the joys of Pocket, thanks to Brianna’s tutorial.
-I got motivated to start hunting for an online book club, thanks to Rebecca’s post on How to Host a Book Club
-Some of the post ideas I came up with were inspired by Alysia’s Brainstorming Posts List, and Tanya’s Discussion Post Ideas.

All in all, I’ve had a hugely successful Bloggiesta, especially as I only had a small amount of time to focus on the event. There’s still some blogging things I want to get done, but those can wait until next month! I hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend and managed to get a lot accomplished!

Bloggiesta Starting Line

September 20, 2013

bloggiestalogo

I can’t believe that it’s time for another Bloggiesta already! I’m not able to participate for a huge amount of time this Bloggiesta, but I still have a list of blogging ‘to-dos’ that I need to get done at some point, and it’s rather satisfying to cross items off a list, however few lines there are!

So, my tasks for this Bloggiesta are:

-Cross-post reviews to Goodreads.
-Update my review archive.
-Come up with some post ideas/flesh out ideas I already have.
-Add my button to my sidebar.
-Check out the mini-challenges, past and present, and complete some of them.

I may accomplish more over the weekend, but I don’t want to overwhelm myself, so I’m starting small, and if I get those tasks done, then I’ve got a few other jobs up my sleeve that I can definitely do!
