Hi, hello, hey. I’m Hollie, twenty three years old, born and raised in England. I never really know what to do in photos so I pout a lot.holliembat

But you’ve probably clicked on this tab to learn a little bit more about me, right? Well, when I’m at work, I’m a dispenser, working for a pretty large national chain of chemists, delivering medication to the masses in the East of England. And when I’m not at work? I’m going to be reading, blogging, at the cinema or spending time with my awesome friends or my wonderful boyfriend. All whilst listening to music with a large mug of tea in my hand. (Just milk and no sugar for me, ta.)

I’ve spent my whole life reading books. By the time I was seven, I’d read every single book in my school, and my teachers didn’t know what to suggest for me. So I picked up Harry Potter, fell in love, and promptly placed it at the very top of my favourites pile, where it’s stayed ever since. I’ve gained and lost other favourites along the way, but nothing has ever come close to those seven books. I did have a brief period where I would only read adult books, but then I stumbled across Twilight, and the world of YA was open to me once more. So, I guess you could say that I owe Twilight one. If it wasn’t for those four books, this blog probably wouldn’t exist.

Some of my favourite books are: Harry Potter, Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour, Paper Towns, Jellicoe Road, Shadow and Bone, Clockwork Angel, Divergent, and The Raven Boys.

And as for favourite music: The Gaslight Anthem, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, Imagine Dragons, Bon Jovi and Carrie Underwood.

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” -Lewis Carroll.

About the Blog

Music, Books and Tea was created in September 2011, and I never imagined it to be what it has turned into. It’s survived the move from Blogger to WordPress, and I’m hoping can only continue going from strength to strength.
