Christie Cote’s Favourite Friendships From Books She’s Read
“Hmmm. This is a hard one. One friendship is between Dee and Katy from the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout. Dee was persistent to be Katy’s friend and as eccentric as she is, she is a pretty awesome friend. They love each other and even when they aren’t getting along they are there for each other in the end.
Another one of my favorite friendships is between Breckin and Sky from Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. After just meeting, Breckin declares himself “Sky’s very best friend in the whole wide world.” He is hilarious and quite a character. I love it when he interacts with Sky, they are a hilarious pair and I’m glad Sky has him from the very beginning, since her best friend Six took off to Italy.
My final favorite friendship is between Layken and Eddie from the Slammed series by Colleen Hoover. Eddie befriends Layken when she moves to town and starts at a new school. Eddie has a troubled past and doesn’t have any real friends outside of her boyfriend, Gavin. She is smart, quick, and bubbly. There was no stopping Eddie from taking Layken as her Best Friend.
Friendship is a wonderful thing. I have had lots of them come and go, very few stick for long term, but those that do are pretty special. I hope everyone find their Dee, Breckin, or Eddie in life!”
“Taylor Sullivan took her life for granted until she received news that would change her life forever. In a state of denial she met Kyle, who didn’t end up being what she expected. She wasn’t able to escape her new reality, but with his friendship, just maybe she could survive it.”
